What if you could tour Nebraska without ever leaving home, get some extra exercise in any form that works for you, and support JA of Lincoln all at once? It’s truly a win-win, and the new JA Tour of NE makes it possible!
JA Tour of NE is a brand new virtual event benefiting JA of Lincoln. This virtual marathon (26.2 miles) takes participants on a tour through eight Nebraska cities, passing notable landmarks including Memorial Stadium, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, Chimney Rock, Carhenge, and more. Racers can log ANY exercise (walking, running, biking, yard work, pilates, sports, etc- whatever works for you!), and that exercise will be converted to virtual miles that will move participants along the virtual route. You’ll see the sights and learn about the stops on the way!
You can register as an individual, but why not create a team of friends, family, co-workers, or neighbors? It’s a great way to stay connected while so many of us are working from home! A lot of us could probably use some extra fitness in our schedule after being cooped up, so that’s a bonus too.
The race runs June 15 through July 15 (when you can log your miles), but you can register now! The donation is $25, and you can use the code KIDS to get a $10 discount for children 12 and under. Why not get the whole family involved??
